A workout for all fitness levels, inspiring participants to develop their cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and endurance. Participants work hard, but at their own pace using upbeat Christian music. Each class ends with time spent in prayer for each other. Cost $5/class (payable at the class). Women only.

SportsWorld is a fun, safe and exciting environment where your child will learn physical skills, develop character qualities and mature spiritually while building relationships with others in the community. Mornings are spent in skill clinics and afternoons are full of games and team competition!

For children in grades 1st through 5th only (2017/18 School Year)

Staff: SportsWorld is run by Student Ministry & other PCC staff, adult leaders and senior/junior high students

Location: SportsWorld will be held at Peninsula Community Chapel (4209 Big Bethel Road, Yorktown 23693) and its surrounding fields. Baseball/Softball will be held at a nearby sports field TBD. (Students will be transported by minibus from PCC to the sports field.)

56 Outdoor Game Night

KidzMin is hosting a 56 Outdoor Game Night in which 4th graders (who will be in 5th grade in the Fall) join our current school year 5th and 6th graders. This event will welcome our new soon to be 5th graders to the group and encourage our 6th graders moving up to 7th grade the chance to share what they have loved about the 56 Ministry. Here are the event details:

Outdoor Game Night

July 7th from 5:30-7:30PM at PCC
Cost= $5

  • The $5 will cover a t-shirt and goggles for one of our main games; your child will get to keep the t-shirt they create
  • We will be playing games with Throw-able PAINT BALLS (click here for product details)
  • Students should come prepared to get messy as we play water games & participate in paint activities; do not wear nice clothes
  • Please have your child dress appropriately (beach towel, flip flops, sunscreen & change of clothes)
  • Students attending should bring one of the following to share: Drinks, Chips or Cookies/Brownies
  • Parent/volunteer help is needed for setup and with helping at the game night (we need at least 4 adults), let Amanda know if you can help
  • We will have a small devotional time together in which 6th/7th graders will share words of advice to the upcoming 5th graders (we will only ask students to share that are comfortable doing so)

Join us as we learn to take better care of some of the most important things God has given us --ourselves, our families and our planet! Each meeting you will walk away with a DIY project(s) in one of five areas (details below). Prior to each week's meeting, we will send out a list of materials for you to bring and the exact cost of any shared materials (likely between $5 and $15). This group is open to all!

Many of us spend so much time in the kitchen. And often, a huge portion of our budgets end up there too - food, kitchen accessories, cleaning products, you name it! Find ways to extend the life of your supplies and create some reusable kitchen staples! It's eco and budget friendly!

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle -- Tuesday, July 10th: 6:30-8:30 PM

This week we will focus on the first "R," waste reduction! The group will look at common areas of waste in our daily routines and brainstorm practical ways to cut back, followed by an activity.

SportsWorld Jr. 2018

SportsWorld Jr is a great program for younger children to enjoy the opportunity to learn in a high energy, safe and encouraging environment focusing on character and spiritual development.  Children will build relationships through team building activities incorporated with music, sports and crafts.  The half-day program is designed to keep children engaged through large group worship and different daily breakout sessions.

For: Ages: 4 Year Olds (must be 4 on or before January 31, 2018) to Kindergarten (current 2017-2018 school year)

Staff: SportsWorld Jr. is run by PCC KidzMin staff, adult volunteers and youth helpers.

Location: SportsWorld Jr. will be held at Peninsula Community Chapel (4209 Big Bethel Road, Yorktown 23693).
